Our Vision, Values and Aims

Our school values were established in 2017. The values were selected by staff, pupils and parents through a combination of focus groups and voting. Pupils were then asked to create characters to represent the values. Since then, the values and characters have become a big part of our school culture and ethos, including celebrating children’s successes in these areas using our Star of the Week certificates. 

Recently we reviewed our Vision, Values and Aims. Staff agreed that although the values had become embedded in the school, the vision and aims needed to be revisited and improved. We used our Curriculum Rationale to create our aims and generated some options for the wording of our vision. Parents were then asked to vote for their preferred version, the winner is displayed above.

As a school community we feel the Vision, Values and Aims reflects our priorities and encompasses everything we do. If you have any ideas or feedback, please let us know!
